Why we chose it
Beni Ourain rugs are pile-knotted from the natural ivory and brown fleece of Beni Ourain sheep without any dye or chemical treatment — the off-white and dark diamond pattern is the animal's own fleece. TazRugs sources directly from artisan families in Morocco's Middle Atlas and ships without a secondary backing, so the wool sits on the floor fiber-side up with nothing between it and the ground but the knot weave.
