For brands
If your products are listed here, you can say so. The badge links to your vetting record and reads its facts live, so it is always exactly as true as the record.
The directory currently lists 770 products from 393 brands, every one checked against the same 15 criteria.
The horizontal lockup at its default size. Each brand's version carries that brand's own product count and verification month, and comes in compact, seal, dark, and single-colour variants.
What it means
- Each listed product disclosed its materials and passed all 15 published criteria. The criteria are public and do not change per brand.
- Listings are re-checked on a rolling basis. A product that changes, goes out of stock for good, or stops disclosing comes off, and the badge reflects that on its own.
- Nothing is listed for a fee, and the badge is free. Nontoxic Nook may earn an affiliate commission when a reader buys through a listing; that revenue never affects what qualifies, and the brand page says so.
- We chose the products. Brands do not apply to be listed, and the badge is offered to every listed brand on the same terms.
What it does not mean
- It is not laboratory testing. The review is of disclosed materials, certifications, and documentation, with a source required for every claim we rely on.
- It is not a certification, and Nontoxic Nook is not a certification body.
- It does not cover a brand's whole catalogue. It covers the listed products, and it says how many.
- It is not an endorsement of any claim we did not check.
How to get yours
- Find your brand in the brand index. Your brand page shows your vetting record: the products listed, when they were last verified, and since when.
- Follow the link under the record, "Show this record on your site". That page has every lockup with copy-ready embed code.
- Paste it where your other marks live. Linking is optional; the image alone still shows the live facts.

Terms of use
- Use the badge as served, on your own website and social profiles, in connection with the listed products. Do not redraw, recolour beyond the single-colour variant, or crop it.
- Do not place it on packaging or print without asking first.
- Do not present it as testing, certification, or approval of products that are not listed.
- The badge retires itself when the last listed product leaves the directory. Nontoxic Nook may withdraw it for misuse, with notice to the address we have for you.
- Showing the badge does not create a partnership, sponsorship, or any obligation on either side.
Corrections
If anything in your record is wrong, write to hello@nontoxicnook.com with the product and what is off. We fix or remove it within a few days and the badge updates on its own.
Questions
- What does "Vetted by Nontoxic Nook" mean?
- Each listed product disclosed its materials and passed all 15 published criteria at nontoxicnook.com/our-promise, and its listing is re-checked on a rolling basis. It is a documentation review, not laboratory testing or a certification.
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Nothing is listed for a fee, the badge is free, and affiliate commissions Nontoxic Nook may earn on some purchases never affect what qualifies.
- Does the badge cover our whole brand?
- No. It covers the products listed in the directory, and it says how many. The record page it links to names them.
- Can the badge be withdrawn?
- Yes. It retires itself automatically when the last listed product leaves the directory, and it is withdrawn from anyone who alters it or places it on products that are not listed.
