## Why we chose it

Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is the only filtration media NSF/ANSI 177 certifies for both chlorine AND chloramine neutralization at shower flow rates, and the Second Shower Head is the only showerhead we found carrying that certification. Unlike KDF-based filters, which lose chloramine efficacy at high flow rates, vitamin C converts both disinfectants to harmless compounds on contact.
